Seasoned Crackers

Whether you are snacking poolside, lakeside, or your afternoon snack at work, something salty and flavorful always hits the spot! Growing up spending summers at the lake, my RN mom, always pushed the salty snacks, which would make us drink more water and stay hydrated in the heat. Smart lady!

My husband loves crackers (especially Cheez-its) and I thought it would be fun to try and give them some new twist. These would be perfect for a day on the water or even to serve at a happy hour with cocktails. Like a said, my husband has a cracker preference, but I think you could try this with so many cracker varieties or pretzels!

WHAT YOU NEED:

1 box of crackers (we prefer Cheez-its)

1/2 cup canola oil

1 Ranch seasoning packet

1 tsp Cayenne

2 tsp Garlic powder

1 tsp Onion powder

HOW TO MAKE:

Preheat the oven to 225 degrees. Mix together oil and seasoning using a whisk or fork. Spread crackers onto a baking sheet that has a rim on the edge. Continue to mix the oil mixture and pour it over the crackers. Gently mix together the crackers until the oil covers the crackers. Spread the crackers evenly on the baking sheet and place them in the 225-degree oven for 30 minutes. Stir gently every 10 minutes. Remove from oven and stir. Allow cooling completely.

Enjoy!
